A portrait of a key figure in the countercultures of late 1960s–1990s France. A member of the Gazolines, a member of the F.H.A.R. (Front Homosexuel d’Action Révolutionnaire), and a tireless LGBTQIA+ activist, Hélène Hazera founded the Trans and AIDS Commission within Act Up, one of her greatest sources of pride. Her other source of pride is her true triumph over a life that began in an era when the desire and need to transition were far from accepted. She was the first transgender woman to work as a journalist for a major national daily, Libération, a television director, and a producer at Radio France.

When Judith Abitbol was eleven, her father gave her a Super 8mm camera, and she started experimenting, making all types of short films. Judith spent years camping at the Cinémathèque de Chaillot, where she filled herself with films, lives, and experiences. Later, she studied Cinema and Literature. Since her first short film in 1983, she has made films of all lengths, shapes, and subjects.
