"Intransitivo": celebrating IDAHOBIT in Seixal

Within the scope of the Municipal Plan for Equality of Gender and Opportunities, the city of Seixal joins the celebrations of IDAHOBIT - International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and Interphobia. This next coming Friday, May 17th, we will screen the documentary “Intransitivo” (Brazil, 2022, 72'), by Gabz 404, Gustavo Deon, Lau Graef, Luka Machado, which premiered last year at Queer Lisboa 27.

The film focuses on a trans-centered group that travels through Rio Grande do Sul and talks to eight other transgender people. The interviews address issues related to transition and other identity and intersectional crossings, such as class, race, age, sexuality, and body. Behind the scenes, we follow conversations between the team, discussions about the topics covered, and their interpersonal relationships during the trips.

The event will take place at Auditório Municipal de Miratejo, in Corroios, at 9pm, and will be followed by a conversation with the Director of Casa Qui - Associação de Solidariedade Social, Rita Paulos, and with the Artistic Director of our Festivals, João Ferreira.
